“Hell-Pit” and “Limbo-Land”. . . . .

Bill & Ted have a pretty good idea of what limbo would look like, spirits “flying, floating, or falling” through all the sheer voids. Could hell be a physical concept? Even so, THE NETHERWORLD is like an optical illusion of perspectives and screwball angles as logical as they are “damned just”. Just key into the imagery from “Dante’s Inferno” as it all strangely makes sense.

Beetlejuice is a creature of hell, yet an escapee “from the infinite-grind” as taking advantage “of the recently deceased” means he keeps one step ahead of taxes as he out-races “the scales of justice”. Inner circles “down the long fall, down” beget stranger properties still, like a kind of insect-mind like the subconscious where nightmares fly out of.

Strange creatures, glowing-furies, and UFO’s dart in and out of a strange realm and overlap into the world we call “commonsense”. Altered states from say, “a Ouija board” summon manifest energies as you talk about mental aberration and the psychedelic experience–dream-worlds of forbidden, altered perception.

Basically, what Beetlejuice feels after a long night of drinking and haunting and carousing, throwing-up in the toilet or otherwise “riding the porcelain bus”. Or smoking joints dipped in embalming-fluid (– for “medicinal purposes”) and otherwise sidling up to you with a chunky, poor-old-me “hard-luck story”. Can you help raise him from the dead, “jump-start him” out of the very pit of hell?

You just got to his name “three times”. . . . . “Beetlejuice SEQUEL”, “Beetlejuice SEQUEL”, “Beetlejuice SEQUEL”, to get the juices flowing and gift him the ability to entertain like the neighbor you would never invite inside your house.

So lift him out of “development hell” and let’s make this sequel happen. Thanks for following my posts, and we leave you with some eerie conceptions of hell and some of the creatures you’d meet off in limbo. The imagination is our only limit as this can happen with computers.

House Rave Lydia/Gaga-Mix

Ah, yes. . . . . the intrigue of Lydia and a putrescent flirt of a pin-striped suitor.

Pulsing electronica and glaze-eyed industrial sounds unto diva-dating captures the bored, world-weary resistance of the hippest teenager I know.

As Beetlejuice materializes, more “earth-bound” than ghost– Lydia, herself begins to fade-out into the bizarre, timeless netherworld depths as a balance must be struck– two entities “neither here, nor there” as she risks being lost to the world of the dead forever unless the rift in space/time can be sutured-back correctly.

Ghosts and other poltergeist-y spirits fly in and out of the St. Louis arch in a night of thunderstorms like an electrical conductor, as all parties meet in the downtown streets, below for a grand finale as Cousin Hugo is about to turn into a God and the universe is going to imminently collapse-in on itself.

The rest is top secret– as this ought to be made into a movie, someday. Still working on the script as we fan-up interest on the super online information highway.

So stay with us! Back again, tomorrow.

Kings of Evil

So. . . . . how do you spend your Sabbath-night eve?

Demons and dark forces dance and whirl, summoned up to the top of Bald Mountain in this clip from Disney’s “Fantasia”. Absolutely surreal, it must have been terrifying at the time though you can see lots of subsequent influence on heavy metal with themes of European witchery and shadowed, lonely graveyards releasing forth the wrath of the dead.

It’s a cultural force to be reckoned, with as I could see some influence going into Beetlejuice 2, and remember– how the netherworld is a strange and unusual realm, populated by gods and monsters. So much twistedness exists beyond the veil of human perception as artists and madmen bring back visions to share through the very creative act of storytelling, itself.

Will Beetlejuice meet “the king of evil”? Or maybe he’s caught, hanging upside-down in a cage in the kitchen of a giant demon who fixes supper. He will meet demons and other figures from dreamworld’s on the outer edge of all-conceivable imagination, but must get back in time to have misadventures on earth.

Riding along the riplets of time/space distortion, he falls through portals and hidden doors between bio-living land and the kingdom of the dead. And if one’s thing you can say– IT’S A WILD RIDE!!
